Meet our Winemaker.

Gabriela Canossa never expected to become a winemaker. Growing up in a family of artists, she was naturally expected to follow a career in the arts, but found herself called to nature instead, deciding to study agriculture. It was while studying agriculture that she learned about a course in oenology, and as she studied wine and winemaking, her passion only grew. At a time when very few women were studying winemaking and even fewer were working as oenologists, she forged her own career path, starting with the prestigious Taylor's Fladgate. She went on to become the head of the Fine Wine Division at Real Companhia Velha, and has worked with over a dozen different wineries across Portugal. She was awarded Winemaker of the Year in 2017 from the W Awards, and her 2023 White Port was awarded a prize for excellence from Paixão Pelo Vinho. Now she's using her decades of experience to create wine with us.
